cruiseman1978 Posted July 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2008 4 of us are going to Dolphin Discovery in January. On the carnival website, it says the ship docks from 10am-6pm. The dolphin discovery website says that they have programs at 10am, 11am, and 12pm (depending on which program you choose). Is booking the 10am program too early? I know that we only arrive in Cozumel at 10am, but that is shiptime (which is eastern time since we are leaving out of Tampa) so we actually get there at 9am Cozumel time. Is an hour to get there cutting it too close? We would like to be the first group out bc I heard the programs tend to start running late as the day goes on. We also want to be able enjoy Cozumel for the rest of the day. Please help.
piratemaster Posted July 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2008 Your 10:00 AM time will be fine. They do start running late later in the day. The cab ride takes about 5 minutes from the dock to the park. No need to rush.
gpost Posted July 13, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2008 Wasnt the ship times changed on the inspiration to a later time due to engine problems?
cruiseman1978 Posted July 14, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted July 14, 2008 Never thought of the possibility of the boat arriving late for whatever reason. Unfortunately the Swim Adventure is only offered at 10am, 1pm, and 3pm Cozumel time. Since the ship is leaving at 4pm eastern/3pm Cozumel time, the 3pm is definitely out and the 1pm might be cutting it close the other way. Maybe we just have to do the Royal Swim. Has anyone booked the Swim Adventure and was there a timing issue?? Also how long is the program? Im not talking about the Royal Swim...there is plenty of info out there on that program.
