tom_uk Posted July 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2008 You probably ought to ask this question on the Royal Caribbean forum rather than the P&O one....

StLucia Posted July 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2008 Casino on IOS will only accept dollars. Chrob, I know this isn't really the right place for this but you are also going on Ventura in October. We have just booked Independance, I assume you enjoyed it as you are going next year, any tips? LibraLass41 Posted July 27, 2008 #8 Share Posted July 27, 2008 Only 24 hrs ago I was walking through the very very large casino on Independence on a ships visit! There were hundreds of fruit machines in there - yes dollars - all the ship uses dollars - its American. I have just created a photosite of the ships visit, over 75 photos of Independence here: http://picasaweb.google.com/AuroraPartyCruiseSueV/IndependenceShipVisitJuly08 Shes big and new and family friendly, a lovely ship for the family. loobylouuk Posted July 27, 2008 #9 Share Posted July 27, 2008 Fab pictures Sue. Thanks for posting. I almost cancelled our forth coming cruise on Indy because sadly we found Ventura was so boring and thought it might be similar. In the end we moved it to next year and looking at the pics i'm glad we decided to keep it as Indy really does look like it was built with families in mind. Now i know Indy will not be your cup of tea(all the kids!)but what did you think of her and the prices and could you tell me if there is a cinema on board please? StLucia Posted July 28, 2008 #10 Share Posted July 28, 2008 Their great photos, thank you. We're going in 3 weeks, but I'm still really looking forward to Ventura in October. Good to see what the inside cabins look like as this will be our first, and hopefully only, time in one. Didn't like the seats on the balcony, that type are very uncomfortable. mgdsld Posted July 28, 2008 #11 Share Posted July 28, 2008 We were on Independence in May and were really impressed so much so that we have cancelled our booked cruise on Ventura in September and are now going back on Independence (we were fortunate enough to get a cancellation in an Owners Suite) can't wait to be back on board. LibraLass41 Posted July 28, 2008 #12 Share Posted July 28, 2008 The balcony seats were more comfortable than they looked!!! I even 'ROAD TESTED ' one for you. The strips are made of bouncy plastic.:D

Hi mgdsld, Indy must be really good if you cancelled Ventura. Ventura is ok but has no where near the kind of facilities Indy has, we found it sooo boring. Seeing as you have actually stayed on board Indy and would be better equipped knowledge wise, would you mind telling me if there ia a cinema on board and roughly what the prices are for drinks etc. Thanks Lou
