casino on independance of the seas

Casino on IOS will only accept dollars.

Chrob, I know this isn't really the right place for this but you are also going on Ventura in October. We have just booked Independance, I assume you enjoyed it as you are going next year, any tips?

I have a 4 1/2 hour ship visit with lunch on Independence next Saturday (26th)- really looking forward to seeing this ship..Only been on p&o so should be good. I'll take lots of photos and make up a website if I can. Like my 'All about Arcaida' one...

hi folkes can anyone tell me if you can spend english money in the casino on independance of the seas or should we take dollers?many thanks.humpy:)

it's dollars, but unlike P&O cruises to can charge extra funds to your ship board account, then settle up your whole trip (drinks etc!) with a credit card as you would normally do without the financial penalty of making a withdrawal on a credit card!!!!

Only 24 hrs ago I was walking through the very very large casino on Independence on a ships visit! There were hundreds of fruit machines in there - yes dollars - all the ship uses dollars - its American.

I have just created a photosite of the ships visit, over 75 photos of Independence here:

Shes big and new and family friendly, a lovely ship for the family.

Fab pictures Sue. Thanks for posting.

I almost cancelled our forth coming cruise on Indy because sadly we found Ventura was so boring and thought it might be similar. In the end we moved it to next year and looking at the pics i'm glad we decided to keep it as Indy really does look like it was built with families in mind.

Now i know Indy will not be your cup of tea(all the kids!)but what did you think of her and the prices and could you tell me if there is a cinema on board please?

Their great photos, thank you. We're going in 3 weeks, but I'm still really looking forward to Ventura in October. Good to see what the inside cabins look like as this will be our first, and hopefully only, time in one. Didn't like the seats on the balcony, that type are very uncomfortable.

We were on Independence in May and were really impressed so much so that we have cancelled our booked cruise on Ventura in September and are now going back on Independence (we were fortunate enough to get a cancellation in an Owners Suite) can't wait to be back on board.

Hi mgdsld, Indy must be really good if you cancelled Ventura. Ventura is ok but has no where near the kind of facilities Indy has, we found it sooo boring.

Seeing as you have actually stayed on board Indy and would be better equipped knowledge wise, would you mind telling me if there ia a cinema on board and roughly what the prices are for drinks etc.

Thanks

Lou

your post kinda sums up why we have booked a cruise on both ships...

albeit, they were booked months apart... after doing a 10stop on the arcadia, i had no problems in doing a similar one on the ventura.. my point being that i found we were hardly on the ship then, long days, eat dinner, a show, few drinks, into the casino and then bed ready for the next days stop...

the independence was booked simply for it's facilties..and therefore is a transatlantic cruise where most of our time will be onboard..
