Weird pricing on Freedom

Recommended Posts

I was just checking our 6/21/09 Freedom cruise and saw that an ocean view category H (183 sq ft) is priced at $1599 and is the exact same price as a balcony category D2 (214 sq ft with 68 sq ft balcony). Also, that D2 is lower than the E category balconies. What's that all about??

Sometimes when a category sells at a high rate (high demand) and inventory reduces (low supply) that category jumps up in price while another higher category does not sell as well and goes lower in price. Sometimes they cross and a higher category is offered at a lower price for a short time. Jump on it.

Usually they run pricing based on demand. If they have a lot of D2 cabins available they will lower the price. I found my D2 cabins for $899 per perosn on the liberty and the very same day after booking mine they wend up $150 per person. I had some friends who wanted to go at the $899 price and they tried to book. Unfortunately they ended up not being able to go so we are going with some of our friends that we have not seen in 14 years because we moved away.
