I booked at the begining of June for a May 09 cruise and was charged £4.50pp per night then (£81) for a short cruise, this was a increase on the preview brochure price, NOW another increase from Preview brochure to 1st edition brochure, so I hope you are all aware , we are now paying a extra £9pp per night since the preview brochure prices were printed . Wow, that's going to make a difference to a family of four. We booked Grand Princesses two week med cruise for 26th June next year back in April this year. The kids go free. We haven't heard anything about a fuel supplement. Hopefully, we've escaped it because we booked just after it came out for sale. If not, £9 each per day will be an extra £36 x 14 = £504 - Ouch! LibraLass41 Posted July 21, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted July 21, 2008 The first 'supplement ' was built-in to the price you paid in June, so hopefully, even if Princess did add another one on, and I have read of this happening right up until people are about to go on their cruise, it may only be £4.50pp Hope you are ok Sue
rob linda Posted July 22, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2008 Hi We booked Ventrura for 2nd of Jan 2010. We booked on the day that the cruises went on sail. Will we be affected? Thanks for the advice , in anticipation. Bob
LibraLass41 Posted July 22, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted July 22, 2008 No, don't think so, but things can change. It was for all new bookings after June 1st 2008.
CASPALL Posted July 30, 2008 #6 Share Posted July 30, 2008 Just booked a 13 night cruise on Aurora in November through our TA and it's still a great deal. We had to pay an extra £7 each for the 13 nts.
salsalady Posted July 30, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 30, 2008 WE have just transferred from a cruise on Arcadia that we booked in April 08, to another cruise on Oceana that has just been re-released (which we have been waitlisted for since 1st May), and P & O have added £162 fuel supplement per person....£324 in total...(this works out to over £5.50 per person)...and this being in addition to the £800 each that the cruise has increased in price from the 2009/10 Preview brochure, to the full size 2009/10 brochure that we didnt receive until early June.....so overall the cruise has cost us the best part of £2k more, but the price per night works out cheaper on the Oceana cruise, and we do have a mini suite on Oceana as opposed to a regular balcony stateroom on Arcadia... Oh...and to add insult to injury, we have lost the £500 OBC that we were being give on Arcadia.....with no OBC on Oceana.... But we had our hearts set on the Oceana cruise all the time.... K8T Posted July 30, 2008 #9 Share Posted July 30, 2008 Hi We booked Aurora for next June a few weeks ago and paid our deposit, the total price will include a supplement per person. Having charged one supplement, can they add another? Kate

Having charged one supplement, can they add another? Kate Hi Kate NO, apparently it's only applicable to 2009/10 cruises booked after 17th July.... The cynic is me, says they deliberately didn't re-release the back to back Oceans cruise until after that date so that they were able to add on these additional fuel supplements....after all they cancelled all the individual 2 weeks cruises at least 3 weeks ago!! LibraLass41 Posted July 31, 2008 Author #12 Share Posted July 31, 2008 Caspall If you booked out of the 1st edition brochure the fuel supplements are already built into the increased prices (against the preview brochure which came out in April)
CASPALL Posted August 1, 2008 #13 Share Posted August 1, 2008 I booked it off the TA's website which said there could be additional costs.
