Armandocme Posted July 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2008 Made reservations for dinner with the flamenco show (Wed. night). Any suggestions on what dishes to order? Any dishes (appetizer, entree, dessert) that are a must try here?
Bookish Angel Posted July 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2008 If you are not a vegetarian: Arroz con pollo (chicken and yellow rice) Boliche (stuffed round roast) Garbanzo bean soup - some people like their sopa de frijoles negro (black bean soup) but I never cared for their version, always opting for the garbanzo bean soap. Get a Cuban sandwich to go for a midnight snack. You will enjoy the restaurant, but try to sample some of the Mom and Pop places such as Havana Village, that serve tastier, less expensive Cuban food. That's just my opinion, of course! Enjoy!
SeaPA1 Posted July 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2008 The "original 1905 salad" is a must as the starter. My favorite main course would have to be the paella (a rice dish with seafood, chicken, pork, green pepper, onion, tomato, etc). It's fantastic. The salteado dishes are also excellent.
