Question about my canon sd750

Is it possible to attach a strobe to a underwater housing for my canon powershot sd750? I read in post that the flash on the camera will only cause back scatter. I don't want to end up with dark photos underwater. Can someone help me?

The short answer is yes, you can attach an external strobe to a housed digital camera. You won't like the price how ever. It will probably cost as much, or more than the camera cost. I just bought a new strobe (with accessories) for my Olympus. The camera cost $550 four years ago. The strobe, arms, tray, and optical sycn cord cost $975.

If you don't want to shell out a lot of money for a strobe, you should still be able to get some decent photos using just the camera's internal flash. Unless there is a lot of "crud" floating in the water, you won't get very much, if any, back scatter.

For a more detail discussion, I'd recommend checking out the Canon section on scubaboard.
