carly chloe Posted July 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2008 Does anyone know the prices for the Reef Club? Are children the same as adults? What are the ages if so. Thanks.
DukeFamily Posted July 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2008 Reef Club all inclusive with AutoProgreso is $45 pp. I don't know where the break in price is for children, if there is one - my youngest is 14 and I paid the $45 for him.
carly chloe Posted July 20, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted July 20, 2008 If I go on the ruins tours also- how long will I get at the hotel? Will that still be worth going? If it's only 2 hours I don't know if that's long to swim and eat and see the hotel and beach. Is it?
DukeFamily Posted July 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2008 Well....I don't know. That's one reason we skipped the ruins part. We had three hours at the resort and would have loved a couple more! I would imagine that those who went on to the ruins first then back to the resort were gone an hour? There's not really any of the hotel itself to see - it's just the pool area and the beach beyond that. We wanted as much time as we could get at the pool & beach with time to relax in the shade and eat and get some of our money's worth of the open bar! YucatanToday Posted July 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2008 Autoprogreso tours spend about 45 minutes seeing the Xcambo ruins. It's a small, but interesting and private site. You can read more about it here: http://www.yucatantoday.com/destinations/eng-xcambo.htm
carly chloe Posted July 22, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted July 22, 2008 45 min. altogether or 45 min. just at the ruins?
YucatanToday Posted July 23, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2008 45 minutes for transport from the hotel to the ruins, see the ruins, and return. They are only about 5 minutes away.
AmberMarie Posted October 15, 2008 #8 Share Posted October 15, 2008 Bump-- does the Reef Club through autoprogresso have to take you to the ruins, or can you go straight to the resort club?
YucatanToday Posted October 16, 2008 #9 Share Posted October 16, 2008 The trip to Xcambo is optional. The Autoprogreso bus goes directly to the Hotel Reef Yucatan, and then takes those who are interested to the ruins, returning them to the Reef about 45 minutes later. It really is an interesting site. Read more here: http://www.yucatantoday.com/destinations/eng-xcambo.htm
nol4am Posted October 16, 2008 #10 Share Posted October 16, 2008 How do I go about maybe booking this for our cruise. Sounds nice and thru carnival its quite a bit more, unless Im confusing the excursions. lol Do they pick you up atthe ship and then return you there. Any opportunity to stop in town for shopping+ And just how much would a taxi cost from town to the ship?

When you depart the ship you don't have any choice but to take the shuttle bus down the 4 mile pier. The buses are operated by Autoprogreso. They will deliver you right to the open air market where there is a stand and attendent just as you exit the bus. That's where you buy the tour to the Reef Club. (No taxi from town to ship - shuttle buses only.) We had a little time both before & after the excursion to explore the little market area. TxOCDMOM Posted November 3, 2008 #12 Share Posted November 3, 2008 I didn't book directly. From what I read on these boards I just looked for the guys with AutoProgresso when I got off the bus at the pier. They were everywhere, and very friendly. I am a shopper and it was my first trip to Mexico. We bought shirts and trinkets downtown while waiting for the double decker bus tour. EVERYTHING I found on the way back to the ship (right there at the end of the pier) was WAY cheaper... NEXT time we go, we will just shop at those shops right before boarding the ship! :o) How do I go about maybe booking this for our cruise.
