Group Cruise Cocktail Parties - Open Bar, or Drinks on Trays?

Just wondering - for those of you who have gone on group cruises and had the private cocktail parties as a group amenity - did your party have the trays of drinks served, just as at the past guest and captain's cocktail party, or did it have an open bar?

yes.... you take a drink (or two) from the tray for while you wait for the drink (or two) you order.:D

Our group party on the Pride was in the piano bar (when it was closed), so we had a waitress serving ready made drinks, but the bartender was also right there and you could walk up and get any drink you wanted. They also had some little bowls of dry snacks on the tables, chips, nuts, etc....
