seeYA Posted July 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2008 We are a group of 10 family members sailing Northbound on Carnival Spirit May 13, 2009 and are trying to determine our best airfare options. If we do not book airfare through Carnival does anyone know what the Carnival transfer fees are from Seattle airport to ship in Vancouver and from Whittier to the airport in Anchorage? We are currently booking cruise air as a back up and will hopefully find a cheaper alternative as dates get nearer. Thanks for your help!

The BEST option, IMHO, is to take AMTRAK from Seattle to Vancouver. It is a SPECTACULAR journey-right along the coast-fantastic scenery. And immigration/customs is handled ON THE TRAIN, so no long waits at the border. The price this year was less than $50.00pp. You will need to fly into Seattle the day before your cruise. The train leaves about 7:30AM, arrives Vancouver just before noon. There are also Amtrak buses that run up and down the coast for $30.00. And from Whittier to Anchorage (about 60 miles) there are shuttles, private tours and even one way rental cars/vans that can be dropped off at the ANC airport.
