Docked or Tendering In Belize?

CRUZFINDER

Recommended Posts

Haven't been to Belize in a few years. My only time there we tendered in to port.

My cruise documents show Belize as a "docked" port. We'll be on the Valor aug 17.

Has anyone been on this Western Caribbean run recently? Does the Valor dock or tender in Belize?

Thanks in advance.

I should have posted this in my earlier post. Anyway, the reason you tender in Belize is because they don't want to damage the reef that is near Belize. You will notice as you arrive you will be going in what seems like circles. This is because the ship is avoiding the reef.

In 2006, our youngest son called it "Nascar tendering"...because we were in a smaller boat that was really fast!!!

I'll have to remember "Nascar" tendering. The little boats really did seem to go fast. I always seem to enjoy the tender ride.
