Crown Princess Copenhagen dock

Recommended Posts

Can someone give me advice as to how to get into the center of Copenhagen from Princess dock on arrival day? Is there any public transportation or taxi?

I'm guessing they stop at the same dock as Celebrity -- and the HopOnHopOff bus is right there. Goes into town in about 20 minutes -- worked great for us here and in all the other ports other than Berlin and St Pete.

Check here where your ship berths:

Remember the "Kaj.nr"

If the number is between 240 and 266 then you are in The Free Port.

If the number is between 191 and 199 then you are in Langelinie.

Langelinie is closer to city center.

Here you find a map showing both ports in relation to the city center:

How long did you walk for 152 miles one-way???

Warnemünde is definately not the port of Berlin!!!

The Crown Princess docks at the Freeport Terminal. From the ship you can see the Nordhavn train station. It is an easy walk (15 min). You can get a train from Nordhavn right to the Central Train station. I think it is only 2 stops. You can buy a ticket from the machines at the station, so make sure you have some Danish kroner! (When you check in, Princess will have some good Copenhagen maps for you). Also, the entrance to the station may be a little hard to spot. It will be on your left side, as you are walking towards it, and is tucked under the station. (Across the street from the station is an Aldi grocery store) You have to walk upstairs to get to the platform.

concurring with MN crusin - about 15 minutes. There are signs showing the way to the station - so there are a few zigs an zags. If you are unable to figure out how to buy the tickets on the platform (we couldn't) there is a shop on the street level where you can buy tickets - using a credit card.

During the weekdays there is also Bus 26 serving the Freeport-Area:

Walk about 7-10 minutes from cruise terminal to

Kalkbrænderihavnsgade

The best is to check out for the options on

Or: Hovedbane (later: Hovedbanegarden/Tivoli will appear = your selection for Tivoli and Central Station)

Or: Kongens (later: Kongens Nytorv will appear = your selection for Magasin Department Store, Ströget Pedestrian Shopping Street area, Nyhavn (Harbour/Canal Cruise))

Or: Lufthavn (later: Köbenhavn Lufthavn, Kastrup, Terminal 3 will appear = your selection for Copenhagen Kastrup Airport SAS International Terminal)

Or: Kronborg (later: Museum/Samling, Helsingör will appear = your selection for Kronborg Castle and if you always wanted to know why "To be or not to be" or to feel like Hamlet)
