Grand Class aft Vista Cabin Fan Noise

We are looking at booking an aft Vista Suite on Emerald Princess but very concerned about noise and smells from all the exhaust fans situated aft midships.

 

I have stayed in B757 and the fan noise was such that to be on the balcony was unbearable.

No exhaust near the Dophin aft Vistas.

The wake makes a lot of noise when the ship is moving, too. I like the Dolphin deck VS suites because they are removed somewhat from the exhaust fan. I've never noticed a bad smell from the fan (it's for the AC on each deck) and we've had aft suites on 3 different Grand-class ships. The VS suites have the beam, but it is in the corner of the balcony near the divider and doesn't pose a problem (IMO).

We had a Vista suite on the Dolphin Deck on the Diamond in October. The only noise we heard was the wake. It was the best cabin we ever had - we spent 7 hours a day on the oversized balcony - and I would do it again in a heartbeat. If I could afford it!

 

IMHO do it. You won't regret it.
