Ashpalo Posted July 31, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2008 To anyone that has done the Galveston Duck Tours... How was it? Would you recommend it? How early should you buy your tickets? We're thinking about doing the 2:00 tour on 8/31. Any advice/opinions/information would be greatly appreciated. TIA, Ashley :-)
GORDONCHICK Posted August 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2008 I've been to Galveston four times and had no idea they had Ducks. Honestly, Galveston is so easy to get around in (if you have a car) that unless they go through the historic areas of the city, I don't see the point. Don't get me wrong because I love Duck tours. If you've not been to Galveston before or just love riding the Ducks, then it's probably right up your alley. I've done the Ducks in Hot Springs and Branson. I'm still mad DH wouldn't do it in Ketchikan or Seattle (and I promise we will when we go back).

We've been to Galveston several times and have done many different things on the island (Moody Gardens, The Great Storm, etc.). Since we'll only be spending the afternoon there this time, we wanted to do something we hadn't done before. I think we're gonna go ahead and do it. I'll post when we get back to give an update of how it was. Ash :-)
