NCL GEM #4562 - First time cruiser needs help

Is this a good room for a oceanview on the Gem sailing on January 4? My TA quoted it. If not, what would you recommend?

 

The balcony is $1000 more and I don't think that's worth it. Thoughts?

You will have a porthole, not a full window. You are on the lowest deck, with passenger cabins. It is in a good location, almost mid-ship (less motion if the ship rocks).

You could change to a different ‘ocean view’ room, for a lot less that a balcony price. There are some “CC” rooms available on deck 8 for about $90 p/p more. Downside to these is: 1- they are at the very front of the ship, and 2 – they are above the theater (might be some noise at night from the shows, and daytime from rehearsals).
