Sailing on Sky 8/22/08

We are sailing on the Sky 8/22/08 in the Owner's Suite. I've read some posts about the rooms, a/c, food, and service. I am apprehensive, but committed. We have sailed on Disney and HAL and are new to NCL and freestyle cruising. Can anyone give info on the comfort of the suites? Are the beds comfortable? Are the rooms worn or shabby? What is the standard for tipping the butler and concierge on this line? What is the best time to make dinner reservations so that you can make the shows? Any insight on kids' activities for an 11 year old? Any info any one wants to share is appreciated.
