TIPPING baggage porters in FT LAUDERDALE not necessary

Recommended Posts

After the porter loaded up our bags, zoomed us past all the others waiting in lines , loaded us quickly into a cab ....I reflected that it was the best $10 we had spent on the entire cruise.

Time is money and not having to stand in the cattle line at the end of my vacation is worth just about anything to me.
I look at tipping as paying somebody to do something I don't want to do. I know these people get paid, but everybody get's paid for their job. The question is, are they willing to take a job that I would rather not do???
That's exactly how I feel, also. It's my vacation and I'm not carrying those bags! I'd tip more if someone would pack them for me. lol I say carry them yourself or pay up.
Even a big boss likes to be thanked, thought of or remembered.
