SCcalmcruise Posted August 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2008 Hi all~ Haven't seen much about hiring a driver in Belize for the day....for other islands, plentiful recommendations and reviews for this - not so for Belize. Is it not the thing to do here? We're a family of 4 (two adults and two children ages 6 & 8). The adults have done cave tubing, no interest in zip lining until kids are older. Any CC'ers have any info on hiring driver for a day here, cost, etc? Is there a day price, etc? We want to be able to wander around (with 4 wheels!) and say "can we stop here...there...etc". THANKS for any info!
Italnlady Posted August 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2008 Contact Pook's Hill resort and hire Ben as a guide as he is knowledgable. In my opinion a must see is the zoo. If you have time, try to arrange a visit to Pook's Hill as it is a preserve and in a beautiful area. Ck out their video on the internet.

SCcalmcruise Posted August 6, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted August 6, 2008 Italnlady, looks like this will be too far from us (Pook's Hill) since it is 2 hrs from where we port....we're on a cruise. Thanks though! Anyone else with info on hiring driver at Belize port?
