Rhino Rider in St. Maarten?

I have read (over and over) on these boards that (sadly) the snorkeling isn't very good on St. Maarten....

 

We're thinking about the Rhino Riders excursion:

which takes you out to "a great reef snorkel spot at a Marine Reserve"

 

Anyone done this? I'm sure the boat part is a blast, but we really love to snorkel.

 

Or, any other suggestions of places to go? We're both experienced snorkelers and have our own equipment, so being able to rent isn't an issue.
