PoAm-Formal Nite

Could any recent returnee from Pride of America advise when the likely (optional) formal nite(s) will be on our upcoming cruise? We are scheduled to leave Honolulu on Sat. Aug 9, two days in Maui, one in Hilo, one in Kona, two in Kaui and returning Honolulu on Sat. Aug. 16.

Also, are requests for dining a specialty restaurants made with the Maitre D's at those restaurants or at a "central" location?

Thanks in advance,

Larry in Tucson

The actual name on NCL ships is "Dress up or Not Night." Only about 50% of the passengers will dress up and that will range from suits down to shirt/tie. The rest will be in resort casual. Since it is a Hawaii cruise, Hawaiian attire (flowered shirts, white pants) are also considered "dress up" on those cruises as well.

Thank you!

The main reason we are taking NCL is so I dont have to drag a formal across the USA!

Thanks for your answers

We dressed up for "dress up" night and ate in the Skylight restaurant. Our waitress asked us if it was a special occasion and why we were dressed up. Not many passengers were dressed up on that night.
