southbayer Posted August 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2008 I've heard that at past guest parties, you can order whatever kind of drink you want... But I always see them carting off trays of other stuff.... I've never seen anyone order something, you sure this can be done ? Don't want to seem out of place doing that.... Any advice about this ?? thanks.

Yes, we try to sit close to the bar (it may be behind a door and only for the servers) and ask early for the drink(s) of our choice and also tip the server for doing that. MagnoliaBlossom Posted August 10, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2008 Yep, I've done it numerous times. We too like to sit near the bar. Makes it easier and quicker.

Sandgnat Posted August 10, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2008 Just tip the server or bartender for the extra work, makes them also come back and bring you more.
MaryAnn261 Posted August 11, 2008 #8 Share Posted August 11, 2008 It seems to take longer... but you do get whatever you want. Just have patience and your drinks will arrive.
Caliber1 Posted August 11, 2008 #9 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Absolutely, ordered beers last two times. It took a while to get the first one, but when I tipped the server, I had anothe one about 5 minutes later, right as I finished the first. :D
