LuvTheSea14 Posted August 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2008 Is it cheaper to use drink coupons ordered on line or is the price the same if you just pay for each drink as you get it on your sail and sign card?
Ken076 Posted August 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2008 $21.25 for 4 coupons includes 15% tip. Works out to about $4.60 per drink + 15% tip. This is close to the price of beers and Drinks of the Day and less than the price of fancy drinks or name-brand liquors. If you’re drinking beer or DOD’s it comes out pretty even. If you order more expensive drinks, the waiters are supposed to charge the difference to your S&S card, but they sometimes do and sometimes don’t; if they don’t, then you come out ahead. We found that the drink cards weren’t worth the hassle of keeping track of them and (maybe) still handing over the S&S card for the difference! ken
deborahjo Posted August 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 15, 2008 Used on our last cruise. I just put some in my hand bag and some in my sun bag. That way I always had them. I got Miami Vices in the small hurricane glasses. Never charged more then one coupon. They were at least 16 oz. if not 24 ozs. Very nice size.
