CaribbeanBound Posted August 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2008 We walked to the bus terminal to catch a route 10 or 11 bus to the Aquarium where we spent two hours enjoying the informative exhibits. It’s not the newest facility but it does have several cool exhibits. We then caught the first route 10 or 11 bus back to the ship for a late lunch before walking to the Bermuda Maritime Institute about a mile east of the pier. They have a cool shell collection, some interactive exhibits, and an extensive exhibit featuring treasure and other artifacts recovered from sunken ships that had hit Bermuda’s reefs over the years. Here is a very detailed review of our cruise to Bermuda. We were there for a week. We stopped in Hamilton and St. George. Hints and tips about the ship, island transportation, beaches, caves, forts and sea glass. http://www.lavasurfer.com/info/bermuda.html

The Aquariam is not the newest or biggest facility, but they do have alot of cool things there. We went back in 2005 during a trip my daughter was 6 and really enjoyed herself. they had some sea turtles that were out that they allowed her to feed. We spent a good 3 hours or so walking around checking everything out. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your trip like we did.
