NCL Pride -Hawaii

An NCL Pride (of America) ship is the best way to see Hawaii. Get to see all (well, most of) the islands and great sailing and great views getting from one to the other. Plenty of time in port to get a good sampling of each island (but a pre- or post-cruise stay in Oahu for a few days is needed to really see that island) and I found the American crew (on the Pride of Hawaii trip I went on last year) to be great. There are some sights--the the cruise off the Napali coast--that were breathtaking and really only possible on a ship.

The NCL ships in Hawaii were the only ones sailing with American crews (except river and coastal ships). There were a lot of complaints about the service on the 3 Pride ships (Pride of Aloha, Pride of America, and Pride of Hawaii) at first, but 2 of the ships have been moved to different itineraries (the higher costs for American crews and lack of casinos on board made them less profitable than other itineries), so the remaining Pride of America ship should have the best of the American crew on it.

Since all the ports are American, you don't have to worry about passports, local currency and language, and strange ATM machines (if you are American), but there is plenty beautiful and exotic about each island.

You should have a great time on an NCL Hawaiian cruise.

It's a great way to see the islands of Hawaii. We were there in Jan. and have just recently booked to go back in 2010.

One of the best features of this cruise is that you board the ship in Hawaii and you go to 4 islands with 1 overnighter in Maui. So your getting to see more of Hawaii with no sea days.

You have two overnights on this itin: One on Maui and one on Kauai
