Kristen2001 Posted August 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2008 Has anyone taken a taxi to the Powerscourt house and gardens? It is located 12 mi south of Dublin and Dublin's bus site says it takes over an hour to travel this distance. I'll have only about 7 hours in Dublin and would prefer not to spend 2 1/2 of those on a bus. Also, how walkable is Dublin? Would a walk from, say, Trinity College to St. Patrick's cathedral be doable in less than 20 min?

I have been to Powerscourt, but not by taxi, and I am sure it would cost.If you have never been to Dublin I would stay there as you will need a few hours(and that is pushing it) to see PC.Dublin is very walkable, but I would suggest you do the HOHO bus to see all the sights and get on and off where you really want to.All up to you of course...
