Costa Maya, Belize, Both or Neither?

We are definitely diving in Cozumel. We are going to swim with the dolphins in Nassau. Belize and Costa Maya are the other ports on our itinerary. Which port(s) should we dive or not dive at and why? Thanks in advance.

My husband and I cruised to those same ports a couple of years ago. He dove in Belize while I snorkeled and then we both snorkeled in Cozumel. Belize has some really incredible snorkeling/scuba spots, so I would say you should really consider diving there also. We decided to do the Mayan ruins tour in Costa Maya, so I don't know about diving there.

Costa Maya is a really different dive spot. It is well worth diving there at least once. There are canyons and valleys which are very interesting.

We used Blue Ocean Safari. They were awesome. However, I am not sure they returned after the hurricane last year.

Dive Belize, they are a world renowned dive destination. Besides the famous Blue Hole there is the reef etc. Lots of very good dive operators in Belize to choose from.
