Best of Tour

My family is taking my mother on a cruise this year and we plan to go to Gran Cayman. We (the family) have been there several times and done most of the important "must see" stuff, but Mom hasn't been before. I would like to do a best of tour (she isn't into beaches at all) but the only tour the ship offers is $52 per person. Does anyone have any advice on doing this local? Because of an incident on Grand Cayman a few years back I am terified to book anything anywhere other than through the ship.

Thanks!

If you don't feel comfortable going through a "local" then by all means, choose an excursion through the ship. We've only done excursions through local tour operators, at every port and so far we haven't had any problems. We have always gotten a more personable tour.

Do what you feel best doing and have a great time!;)
