puli Posted August 31, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2008 If one only had time to have a lobster meal at just one stop on a Canada/New England cruise which port would you choose and where would you eat : PEI ,Sydney, Halifax, or Bar Harbor? paylady Posted September 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2008 We're not on the same itinerary, but we've had to make a similar decision. I've opted to have lobster at the West Street Cafe in Bar Harbor. We will also be in Portland and DH may have lobster there as well. I figure where to have Maine lobster, but in Maine? Although DH had a lobster roll from one of the little shacks by the harbor in Halifax. He enjoyed that also. BTW, Bar Harbor is a lovely town and Acadia National Park is beautiful. Enjoy! puli Posted September 1, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted September 1, 2008 Thanks Paylady for the suggestion. We will definitely try the West Street Cafe in BH and knowing my husband will also try to find time in the other ports. We are transplanted Easterners who REALLY miss lobster! CabotTrail Posted September 2, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 2, 2008 I would suggest a place in Baddeck called the Bell Bouy its has the best LosterSandwich and chowder combo any where on Cape Breton Island. Its located an hour from sydney but well worth the drive. I know you'll like it...
puli Posted September 3, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted September 3, 2008 Thanks, NSgal and Cabottrail! I think we will go with Lobster on the Wharf in PEI especially since we will be walking from the ship1
