stacieps Posted September 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2008 I'm looking at the 3 night on Imagination to Bahamas. The schedule is: Fri: 4:00 depart Miami Sat: 10am arrive Nassau Sun: 7:30 am depart Nassau then at Sea Mon: 8am arrive Miami I'm looking at this for a solo cruise (just came back a couple weeks ago from the 4 night with family/friends). I'd like to know if the Casino, ship shops, etc. are closed the entire time in Nassau. Even if I decided to do an excursion or go to the beach, I'd be back on ship Saturday evening and would like to have things to do. How does this work with this short schedule? Thanks
canary1974 Posted September 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2008 I am booked on the imagination 10/31. Sound's like the same schedule. I guess I never thought of that either. I would really be interested in knowing some information. I know that before on our last cruise once we left the non-gambling port's it only took like 45 min. for us to get far enough for the casino to open. I realize that in the bahamas gambling is legal so why not have everything wide open on the ship when docked at the bahamas.. Hopefully someone else has more information for you. Donna - dsw Posted September 5, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 5, 2008 No - but we are going 12/5 - can tell you then. I would think it is closed. I know in last time I was on the Glory and the casino was closed when we were in port. There are plenty of hotel with casino's in Nassau.
Illinoisgal Posted September 5, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2008 Im 99% sure I remember the casino opens up later at night while there. Maybe im smoking something but I have that in my head as Dh loves to gamble and that is how I can drag him onto the cruise ships
stacieps Posted September 5, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted September 5, 2008 Well, I found an old Sensation caper for when the Sensation docked in Nassau Friday am to Saturday am. The shops and casino opened at 7pm. So it looks like they should open in the evening for those of that want to return from the beach, etc, and stay on ship.
