Barcelona on a Sunday

I've been told that no shops open on a Sunday in Barcelona but heard there is a shopping mall close to the Port that opens. Is this correct?

We'll be there in a weeks time. Have already been to Barcelona and intend to take it easy and visit some clothes shops.:rolleyes:

We were in Barcelona in November - tourist shops were open when ships were in - that's how they make their living. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of places to shop near the port.

There is a two level shopping mall at Port Vell right next to the aquarium which is open on Sundays. It had a variety of shops and a few restaurants/coffee places including the ever present Starbucks!!
