SueOverend Posted September 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2008 Hi, we're sailing on the Eurodam on the 1st Oct out of Quebec City and am wondering whether any of the ports are likely to have taxis to hire to show you around like the Caribbean ports. We've booked to ship excurions, but I hate being on coaches and they are also very expensive. Am I being foolish having nothing booked, or will we be lucky and find a bunch of taxis at each port? Ports that we have nothing planned are : Saquenay, Corner Brook, Charlottetown. Many thanks for any input. Sue
ilovhywd Posted September 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2008 We were on the Eurodam trans-Atlantic (Aug 14-29) and we were delighted that taxis were plentiful in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. We didn't visit the same ports on your itinerary; but I have to believe that when a 2000 passenger ship docks, all the taxis in town will show up! The average rate was $40 - $45 per hour for 4 people (more for a van holding 6 people). If we didn't have an itinerary in mind, they knew exactly where to take us for the best sightseeing. Have a great trip!
