OBC Question

My wife and I are thinking about sending my mother on a NCL cruise. We'd like to set her up with some onboard credit before she leaves. Two questions...

 

Can we use our credit cards to purchase onboard credit for her folio prior to her sailing? On Carnival you can buy FunShip certificates which essentially are treated as cash and good for gift-giving.

 

Will OBC we purchase prior to the cruise be refunded by check or by credit card? On our Carnival cruise we got a check back at the end of our cruise for all our onboard credit and unused FunShip certificates. Does NCL issue checks or will the appropriate charges be credited back to our crediat card account?
