You should visit the "Roll Call" portion of the message boards and look up your particular cruise. You will be able to chat with other Cruise Critic members who will be on that cruise. That way you can make some friends in advance, discuss shore excursions, and often people on the Roll Call boards will arrange a social gathering or two to take place during the cruise.
