Thinking of sailing on this ship- Can you tell me how you liked it and whether this is a new ship or a refurbrished ship. Also how does it compare to the major cruise lines ( Royal Carib, Celebrity, Princess). Thanks.

The Opera is a new ship. She was christened a few months ago in Italy by Sophia Loren, who will be in Florida with her when she arrives on Dec. 2nd.

Since her first cruise to the Caribbean will leave on Dec. 4th, I don't think anyone can tell you what the experience will be like until some of us get to sail her. I would expect the cruise line will do well under it's new CEO and President Richard Sasso, former President of Celebrity Cruises.
