paying cab drivers

something that I have always wondered about since out last taxi trip

 

our driver insisted we pay him half way through the trip ( this was at Hell). is this customary?? we are used to, in other countries, paying after the trip. especially if we are dropped offf & expect pick up.

I dont know if its customary or not in GC but I would discuss this with your driver BEFORE you get in the car. Agree to price, where you are going, for how many people and that you will pay at the end of your time.

 

Maybe they dont go for this in GC, but I would ask up front so you and the driver both know what to expect.
