moving on up from a minisuite

We are booked on the Gmm in a minisuite for our first cruise in Oct. Already thinking about our next cruise. What would be the best step if we wanted a slightly better suite next time. Which are the next best suites that offer value for money?

Thinking of spending a little more on the suite next time is it worth it?

Thanks

Whether the additional $$ are worth it can only be answered by you. The move from an AF or AG to the lowest cat suite that comes with full suite perks (AE) is like the difference IMO between night and day. The suite perks are worth every penny to DH and I and after our first experience with the "suite life" and the perks that come with it, we decided that we would only cruise if we could go AE or above (which means we don't cruise 2-3 times a year).

We spend LOTS of time in our suite and make use of the butler service very frequently (breakfast - unless we go up to Cagney's), lunch (always) and some dinners in our suite as well. We like the access to concierge who handles almost everything/anything you can think of. A good concierge is worth his/her weight in gold and we've had some of the best!

Priority boarding, etc, etc. Go to ncl.com and click on the link to view the suites/villas and you should find a complete list of all the perks.

If it is at all possible, why don't you ask the Ship Coordinator if you can take a quick tour of the other suites so you can decide which type of suite you would like to book in the future? Or if their is a Roll Call for your cruise, find out if some of the wonderful CC people would let you tour their suites.

Hopefully, once you see the suites, then you can determine the best value for your money.

We'll let you know after our Jade cruise in November, we did the Gem Inaugural in an AF and really loved it, we were given a brief look at the pleaseures of breakfast in Cagneys, as the guest of the Concierge, and booked an AD Romance for this one, back of the boat and all the perks, looking forward to it soooooo much.

Regards

The AD's are fantastic (we had our first AD on Dawn 06/08 and booked another one for Pearl 4/09). The balcony on our AD was huge and we spent the majority of our time laying on our loungers reading/relaxing and just watching the wake. We'd never had an AFT cabin before and loved it so much that 8 days after we disembarked from the Dawn we booked our next cruise. We tried for an AD on the Jewel 9 day for 4/09 and 10 months out the AD's were already booked:eek: - to play it "safe" we booked an AD on Pearl BUT also paid $100 deposit to be wait-listed for the Jewel 9 day..It's a win-win for us because either way we have our AD and we have our cruise in April.
