Dolphin swim at Paradise Beach Hotel

We're going to be on the NCL Pearl in November and will call at Roatan, Belize, Cozumel, then Great Stirrup Cay.

We're thinking of diving in Belize and Cozumel and want to keep our options flexible for Roatan. Ideally, we'll be able to get a taxi to West Bay beach, find a spot on the beach and do some snorkelling from there at our leisure.

We'd like to do a Dolphin encounter but don't want to commit to it - we want to 'play it by ear' (as we say in Ireland!) and see if we're in the mood on the day, so the NCL excursion is not for us, and we're put off by the idea of their excursion being over-packed anyway.

So, it seems we might try the Paradise Beach Hotel Dolphin encounter if we're up for it on the day, and then walk over to the beach for the snorkelling.

At $105 per person for the Dolphin Swim, it seems reasonable but has anyone here done it as we'd like to find out if it's worthwhile (particularly hope it's not crowded). How long does it take from arriving there to leaving (trying to gauge how much beach time it would leave)?

Thanks!
