Florence on a Monday

Recommended Posts

Hi -

We are going to be in Florence on a Monday - we realize that the museums are closed...we have previously toured Pisa, San G and Volterra. We are planning on wandering around the city for the day..maybe rent a car or take the train. Is it worth a private tour?

Take the train - easy, inexpensive, and can be quite interesting if you enjoy people watching. I don't think that Florence is worth a private tour. Read up on the city in a good guide book ahead of time and you're set to go. Take a bus to Fiesole - about a 20 minute trip. very wothwhile. Been there many, many times and will be back again in less than a month.
