tamarara65 Posted September 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2008 we have a 2 for one coupon for a specialty restaurant on embarkation day. Can I make that reservation 48hrs before sailing? we have a BA cabin. Do I need to tell them that I have the coupon when I make the reservation?
Toyz711 Posted September 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2008 no way to make reservations before sailing. when you get on the ship, go directly to the reservations desk. tell your servers that you have the coupon....when they used to have the 1/2 price times (on certain nights or times) it did't included that higher surcharge items. for cagney's it didn't include the porterhouse steak or surf and turf. KerCar Posted September 19, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Several in my group used this coupon on the first night of our sailing and had no problem getting a reservation. Like Toyz said, reservations can not be made in advance of your sailing, but the reservation desk will be open as soon as you board. Go right away so you'll be guaranteed to get the restaurant and time slot you would like:)

Toyz711 Posted September 19, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 19, 2008 we had a different route, since we sailed out of new orleans. but i usually tell people...when you go to the main dining rooms, most people head to the windows...if you see a line, just turn around and to to the gardens. same menus, not as pretty a room..every time i went there, it wasn't crowded at all. if you do eat at the buffet, get the table first...have 1 person save the table while the other gets a starter. don't forget to try the dessert crepes (actions station near the made-to-order pasta station) walk around, don't follow the line..food on both sides, some the same, some different. check out the action stations..made-to-order salads, carved meats, made-to-order sandwiches (lunch), omelets and eggs (breakfast) and the pasta action station. people complain about the eggs on the buffet, but if you go to the action station, you can have them YOUR way. go to the galaxy of the stars lounge and go down the steps...you will see the area..it's near the exhibit. if you are looking for some quiet time...in the shade, try the aft area between deck 10 and 12. if you want quiet and sun, deck 13...inside, the windowed area that surrounds the galaxy of the stars. after that you are on your own :D enjoy the ship and your cruise
