Tour to just Xcambo or Taxi?

We want to go to the closest ruin and have been told that would be Xcambo. I do not want to take the tour that includes the Reef Resort. We just want to spend a little time at the ruins, then head back to the market for some shopping, and spend the rest of the day on the beaches near the pier.

 

Is there a tour just for the Xcambo or do we need to just take a taxi and have him meet us back there in an hour?

The Xcambo ruins are about 30 miles. The DZ ruins only about 15 miles and larger.
