jimsmith Posted September 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2008 TRAVEL Anyone planning to travel within Australia needs their head read if they don't take advantage of the information-packed site at www.about-australia.com. It has travel guides for destinations around Australia, accommodation options for just about every town you can think of, must-visit attractions and events around the country to help you plan what you'll do when you get to where you're going, tours and cruises, car rental links, maps, shopping options and information on major parks. For some background information on Australia's states and territories, the site includes the following about each: interesting and pertinent facts, demographics, geography, government and history. You'll also find a three-day weather forecast for wherever you plan to visit so you know if you'll need to take extra woollies or a brolly. tomko2 Posted September 23, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2008 Terrific website, thanks for posting it. We spent three months in Australia (10 weeks in Freemantle) in the mid-nineties; stayed at the Tradewinds. Visited Alice Springs, Surfers and Sydney. People were friendly and generous; we played tennis on grass courts and rode bikes everywhere. Best trip ever!!:D Kathy
