Booked 1st cruise for granddaughter on Sensation

Hello fellow cruisers. I was just wondering if anyone else was booked on the Sensation Oct 5th that happens to be traveling with children. We are treating my 8 year old granddaughter for her first cruise during her school fall break. Her mom and I are going to the Camp Carnival and checking that out. I treated her momma last year to her 1st cruise for her 30th birthday to the Mexcian Riveria, what fun that was and what a surprise for her. Any ideas for shore excursions for her? What about shore excursions for 3 seasoned citizens? Thanks and not long till we are cruising once again. nanalovescruising

If you're taking your granddaughter without her parents, you'll need a notarized note signed by both parents allowing you to take her and authorizing you to make medical decisions for her. My experience is several years old, so maybe someone who's done this recently can advise the specifics.
