mbiegacz Posted April 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2004 we are on the 4/26 sailing on the enchantment of the seas. we are scheduled to arrive at 7am and depart at 5pm. we are planning a day trip to ambergris caye via tropic air. the flights leave every half hour on the hour. do you think we would make it off the ship for the 8:30am flight. if not, how long does the tendering usually take. also what time does the last tender leave port to return to the ship. thanks. ebonybee Posted April 15, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2004 Only one experience tendering in Belize. Of course, cruiseline arranged tours were first, also the suite passengers. We were in the first group and it was a slow and ardorous process. The tenders are local boats and they do not leave an empty seat on the tenders. Maybe it was our tender but we had a lot of elderly and people who needed assistance on it. Then it takes about 15 minutes to get to the pier and disembark(allow for time.) I would "guesstimate" that the airport is about a 15 min ride away-we saw the signs but didn't go there. Given all that, I would say you would be arriving at exactly 8:30 am. 9am would be safer! 04/04 Brilliance
sarab Posted April 15, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2004 We have been to Belize once too and we were in the first group of tenders once all of the ship-arranged excursions had tendered in. We were also alittle late arriving, so we didn't actually get on the tender until 8:30. I couldn't figure out why our tour guide said the meeting time was 9 AM if the ship arrived at 7 AM, but he was right on the money... Our ship left at 5 PM and the last tender was at 4:15 PM. Its about a 15 minute ride from the ship to the pier.
