On Board Credit Certificate

cold in MN

Recommended Posts

My parents are taking their first cruise in February on Norwegian doing the Hawaii itinerary (can't remember name of ship), so for Christmas, all the siblings are thinking of chipping in and getting them the onboard credit gift certificates that NCL has listed on their website. I've never cruised NCL so I am completely unfamiliar with how they work.

My question is, has anyone received or bought them and used them? Did you you any probs redeeming them? Can they be used for anything on the ship (excursion, drinks, photos, gift shops, etc.)? How do they work?

Any insight anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to buy a couple hundred or more worth of certificates only to find out there's so many restrictions on them they couldn't use them all.

Thanks in advance to all for your replies!
