HahvadYaad Posted October 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2004 Driving down towards the end of the West Side Highway (Joe DiMaggio Highway) I had perfect view of the Grand Princess and Celebrity's X docked in port this past Sunday. I think Princess ships are more stunning to look at than others, w/ the exception of maybe Cunard's Queens, Grand Princess looked so bright, white and clean -- and very very long. A very contemporary but elegant looking ship. What's so unusual is that she dwarfed the passenger terminal, piers, all the traffic, cars and people. She really is one big bad boat. I regret not taking a picture to able to attach in this post. I don't know what her current itinerary is (well, obviously assuming Canada/New England's fall foliage tours). Anyone know when the Grand is leaving NY and where she's heading next?
Rare Paula_MacFan Posted October 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2004 I believe she is scheduled to leave Nov 1 and arrive in TX Nov 4, for the first Galveston cruise set to leave Nov 8.
roe2ship Posted October 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2004 My sentiments exactly like yours........they do appear to be the whitest ships which automatically gives you a very clean look. Too bad she won't stay in New York year round. Start working on that Princess!:)
melissa_bel Posted October 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2004 Yes, she is a sight to behold. I saw her in Fort Lauderdale and we were so impressed DH and I that we booked our first cruise just because of the way she lookeed. ;o)
