Prime Travel Protection & Trip Assured

I'm curious about the actual relationship between Prime Travel Protection and Trip Assured. Jerry Watson, the President of Prime Travel Protection, told Chris Elliott in an interview that he had, at one time, worked for Trip Assured, but I followed the saga of Trip Assured until the company ceased operation in 2006, and I don't remember his name coming up. In fact, I came to believe that McKinley Johnson, the CEO of Trip Assured, was a one man operation. Does anyone know what Mr. Watson's role was, and when he worked for Trip Assured?

I know that Mr. Watson reads the Cruise Critic boards, so maybe he can enlighten us on the subject.
