Most least expensive way to get from Port of Miami to FLL

Depends on what time your flight is and how many people you are.

Our flight wasn't till 6pm so we took the Thrifty free shuttle from port MIA to airport picked up car, visited beach, had lunch, went shopping. Arrived at FLL airport in time to return car and board flight.

Total cost for 4 people including gas was about $60.00

Having a car also gave us a place to keep luggage as it would have been a long boring day at the airport if we had taken a shuttle or taxi. We joined Thrifty bluechip so picking up the car is really fast.

Just a suggestion.

Any tips on what the most least expensive way to get to FLL? Shuttle services etc???

How much does it cost to get from the port to FLL?

We used SAS Transportation. If you have 4 people, the cost was $15 per person, each way. We used them for our transportation to the Holiday Inn Port of Miami from the Ft. Lauderdale airport and then back the the Ft. Lauderdale airport from the Miami Port.

There are also a ton of taxis lined up outside the cruise terminal and I think I heard the cost was around $80 to go to Ft. Lauderdale, but I'm not sure.

We are doing this for our next cruise this weekend, and have done it in the past...

We are renting a car from Dollar for a total of $28 for the day.

We have a late afternoon flight out of FLL so we take the shuttle to pick up the car, drive from Miami, stop at the beach, have a nice lunch, maybe shop a little then return the car to FLL.

VERY easy!
