Suite 8091 - Westerdam

Has anyone ever stayed in the above SS Suite or one in the same general locationon the Westerdam? It was an upgrade from a VD cabin and I am concerned that being just below the Lido Cafe that it will be noisy.

I don't plan on being in the room much during the day so a little noise won't bother me during the day but am worried about at night and early in the morning - any info anyone can provide will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Last October we were in cabin 8093 on the Zuiderdam. Yes, it was very noisy at night. I am a light sleeper. Usually around 3AM I would hear lots of scraping noise on our ceiling, I imagine that they were cleaning floors and it sounded like carts being moved back and forth. My husband was not bother at all, he is hard of hearing and sleeps on his bad side. Even though I had some sleep interruption I just used it as an added bonus to hear the waves and feel the ship sway. I didn't mind at all.

I didn't see when I just posted that I'm going to be on the same cruise. Have a good trip, only four more days till we leave! We can't wait.

We were assigned 8090 on the Oosterdam last year. While there was a bit of scraping from the Lido above, it was not annoying and the location near the rear elevators with the Lido just above and the dining rooms not far below was really nice. Quick dash up in the morning or late at night to for coffee or tea ... or a quick snack any time was far faster than waiting for room service. We would definitely book a similar location in the future.
