TAMPA-Port to Airport

Continental has just rescheduled our return flight and I need advice. We will return to Tampa on the Veendam on Jan 18. The ship is scheduled to dock at 7AM. Our flight out of Tampa is now scheduled to depart at 10:41 AM.

 

I'm not familiar with this port. How far is the airport from the ship? Are taxi's readily available or should we try a transfer from HAL if available?

Early on a Sunday morning, it will take about 15 minutes to get from the port to the airport (you won't have any traffic issues).

 

There will be an abundance of cabs waiting right outside the port exit.
