Private Car Excursions through RSSC

My wife and I are booked on a Baltic Sea cruise next summer. We are considering the Private Car excursion for two days in St. Petersburg. I am interested to know if anyone has used this option. If so, how are the arrangements made? What homework do I need to do other than deciding what we'd like to see? Were you pleased with the experience?

I have also contacted Red October tours and they have supplied a sample itinerary, but I thought the Private Car through RSSC might provide more flexibility to see what we want to see.
